Children in grades kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to show off their acting skills next week as the Missoula Children’s Theatre makes its first ever stop in Knoxville. Beginning at 4pm Monday at Celebrate Community Church, students will audition for parts in the play “Beauty Lou and the County Beast”. The Knoxville Noon Kiwanis club has been planning and fundraising for the event for quite some time and member Jamie Hughes says they hope it is well received by the community. The Missoula Children’s Theatre tours all over the country to help put on productions with kids and Hughes says it’s an experience unlike anything else. The production can hold up to 60 students and those who are cast will rehearse each evening that week for up to 4 and a half hours. On Saturday, the group will perform for the community at 3 and 5:30pm at Celebrate Community Church where tickets will be available at the door for $5. The production is sponsored by the Knoxville Noon Kiwanis club.
