Christian picked up a pair of solid wins in pool play, before being felled by two strong 4A programs in Saturday’s volleyball tournament at Iowa City West.  The Lady Eagles defeated Dyersville-Beckman and North Cedar, but Coach John Evenhouse said the squad was unable to overcome a slow start and was defeated by 3rd-ranked Iowa City West.  

In the tournament semifinals, Evenhouse said the team seemed to run out of gas, as they were knocked out by Marshalltown to finish the day at 2-2.  The Pella Christian volleyball team is now 9-4 overall, and returns to conference play Tuesday night against Grinnell.
