The Pella Police Department received some good news in the form of a grant. Marcia Slycord tells KNIA/KRLS news that the Pella Police Department sent off for the grant in 2009 and finally were able to use the money in July of this year. The federal grant money went towards some new recording equipment and Slycord says that even though they went through a transition period, they never lost recording. The Grant that they received was for $20,000.
