On Tuesday the Army Corp of Engineers will reduce the outflow of the Lake Red Rock Dam to prepare for a dive inspection of the structure. The current outflow is approximately 25,000 cubic feet per second and will be reduced to 2,500 cfs by Thursday morning. Marion County Sheriff Ron Goemaat advises residents who live below the dam to plan accordingly. The outflow is expected to begin to increase again Thursday afternoon, bringing it back to 23,000 cfs by Friday afternoon. Anyone with questions about the procedure can contact the Army Corp of Engineers at 641-828-7522.
