The Pella High volleyball team opened their season successfully at home last night going 3-0 defeating Dallas Center Grimes and Gilbert 2-0 and Bondurant Farrar 2-1. The 4th ranked Lady Dutch were led in kills by returning All Staters Hali Steenhoek with 25 and Kelsi Rempe with 22. Rempe had a solid all around night also recording 15 digs and seven ace serves. Lindsay Bentzinger had 17 digs and Kenzie VanderMolen had 16 digs to go along with five ace serves. Brooke Fessler also had a solid start to her senior season recording 62 assists. Pella is 3-0 and returns to action Saturday when they travel to the Iowa City High tournament.
