The Pella Christian volleyball team outplayed the field on Saturday, as the Lady Eagles went undefeated and claimed first place in their first Saturday tournament hosted at Pella Christian High School.  Head Coach John Evenhouse said the tournament featured a number of very competitive matches, and was pleased with the way his team stayed focused en route to a 5-0 finish on the day.  

Highlights for the Lady Eagles included a narrow win in pool play over Grandview Park Baptist in three games, as well as impressive victories over West Des Moines Valley and Bondurant-Farrar in the championship bracket.  The wins improved Pella Christian’s overall record to 16-4, with a Little Hawkeye Conference match at Newton on Tuesday up next for the eighth-ranked Lady Eagles.
