A celebration of life service for Gracie Faye (DeMoss) Martinache, aged 94 of Knoxville, will be held at 10 am, on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010 at the First Christian Church in Knoxville, with Kirk Dudley officiating. Burial will follow services at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville. Visitation for Gracie will be held from 6-8pm, Monday November 1st, at the Winfield-Evans-McCleery Funeral Home in Knoxville, with Gracie’s family present. A memorial is established to the First Christian Church of Knoxville. Condolences may be sent to www.winfieldfh.com

The Iowa Department of Transportation reports beginning Monday, a width limit and lane closure will be in effect for highway 14 between highways G40 and G28 on and near the Mile Long Bridge.

The continued downturn in the housing market is leading to a workforce reduction at Pella Corporation headquarters in Pella and the closing of a plant in Fairfield, Ohio.

On Monday, the “Judge Bus” took off from Des Moines to travel around the state of Iowa to talk with supporters about voting no on judge retention for the three judges who struck down the constitutionality of the one man one woman marriage law.
