The Pella High Little Dutch survived their first big test of the season with their win at Mount Pleasant last week and now lead Class 3A District Seven as the lone undefeated team, however there’s quite a battle shaping up for second through fourth in the district race.

Mount Pleasant and Oskaloosa are both a game behind Pella at 3-1, while Fairfield and Fort Madison are both 2-2. Pella already has head to head wins over both Mount Pleasant and Oskaloosa, and has the overall points advantage should that become a factor in determining the district champion, Oskaloosa plays at Fort Madison this week and faces Mount Pleasant in the regular season finale, while Pella still has to play both Fairfield and Fort Madison. If Pella wins out, they’ll be the outright district champions, however it could get quite interesting should the Little Dutch suffer a loss in any of their final three games.

Pella travels to Keokuk this week and you can hear live coverage with Jamie Brockman and Randy Sikkema on 92.1 FM KRLS and starting with the pre game at 7pm and kickoff at 7:30pm
