Central College’s 45-26 win over Luther this past Saturday afternoon clinched a winning season for the Dutch. It’s the 50th straight non-losing season for Central…49 of which have been winning campaigns. The streak started in Ron Schipper’s first year at the helm in 1961…continued with Rich Kacmarynski…and is still going strong under current head coach Jeff McMartin.

Linfield of Oregon has an incredible 55 consecutive winning seasons…the longest current streak in any division of college football. The NCAA only tracks consecutive winning seasons…not non-losing seasons…but it is believed that Central’s 50-year run is the second longest such streak.
