Even with a big contest with Wartburg looming next weekend, the Central College football squad made sure to not look past Buena Vista, as the Dutch handed the Beavers a sound 35-7 defeat. Three scoring connections between quarterback Nate Snead and his older brother, Jeremy, got the Dutch out to a strong start on offense, while the Central defense swarmed Buena Vista, forcing two first half interceptions, one of which snuffed out the Beavers best chance at a score in the first half. The Dutch out-gained the Beavers 413-243 on offense, highlighted by Jeremy Snead’s 110 yards receiving on seven catches of including scores of six, 36 and, 30 yards. Central now carries a 6-1 conference mark into a huge match-up with undefeated Wartburg for a shot at a share of the Iowa Conference title. That game will kick off at one this coming Saturday in Pella.
