The Central College football team makes the long trek to Decorah today, as the Dutch will battle the Norse in a match-up of two of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the Iowa Conference. Central’s Nate Snead is second in the league with an average of nearly 261 yards of total offense per game, while Luther signal-caller Chris Reynolds ranks third with an average of over 247 yards per contest.

The ninth-ranked Dutch enter the game with a 5-1 overall record and are 3-1 in the conference after last week’s homecoming victory over Simpson. Luther, meanwhile is 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the league after a narrow win over Cornell College. The Dutch defeated the Norse 35-17 last year, but were crushed 26-7 by Luther the last time they played in Decorah.

While Central is pursuing its third consecutive victory, many fans may also be trying to monitor scores from Cedar Rapids, as sixth-ranked Coe takes on Wartburg in a battle of the final two unbeaten teams in the Iowa Conference.
