Central College clinched a berth in the six-team Iowa Conference volleyball tournament with a 3-1 victory at Buena Vista Tuesday night. The tournament will be staged November 5-6, hosted by the conference champion Loras College has clinched at least a share of this year’s crown. Libero Chelsea Grieger (junior, Pella) had 25 digs for the Dutch, who improved to 19-12 overall and 4-3 in the league. Buena Vista, which outhit Central .168 to .167, is 11-18 overall and 1-6 in the conference. Central has the weekend off then closes the regular season next Tuesday at home against Wartburg in a 7:30 p.m. match at P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium. The match will help determine Central’s seed in the league tournament.
