Capping a promising first season under new coach Tim Wilkinson, the Central College women’s golf team closed the fall campaign with a second-place finish at the Iowa Conference tournament Saturday. Two Dutch players earned all-conference recognition. Ali Miller had her best showing, finishing sixth with a four round total of 333 while Kaurie Kincaid, a sophomore from Knoxville, was eighth at 337, earning both All Conference recognition. . Molli O’Brien tied for 11th, Allison Crooks tied for 13th. Central finished at 1351. Defending champion Wartburg took the title with 1308 while Luther was third at 1388. It was the third consecutive second-place league showing for the Dutch, but a bit of a surprise given that the team was without last year’s top three players, including two-time league MVP Sarah Paulson, who is in Europe during the fall semester through the Central Abroad program, and is slated to rejoin the squad in the spring.
