The Knoxville City Council approved an agreement for health care services for low income individuals with the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics at their meeting Monday. City Manager Dick Schrad says it was a “no brainer” for the city as they have no financial liability with the agreement and says anything they can to do help what is a great institution in Knoxville they are anxious to do. The agreement provides the hospital with the governmental affiliation necessary to be able to take advantage of the federal 340b drug pricing program which is expected to save them six-figures annually.
