The Knoxville Cross Country Squad heads to the Centerville Invitational this afternoon. The Panthers will be running against the likes of Fairfield, Fort Madison, Centerville, Mount Pleasant and many other teams from southeastern Iowa. Coach Mike Moats says for the boys it is a good opportunity to get an idea of the kind of competition they will see at the Class 3A District meet later this month. He adds the boys have won the event several times in the past and always enjoys running at Centerville. The girls will have a much tougher time as Ottumwa is in the field and Moats says Ottumwa has always dominated the girl’s event.
