A third place finish was still something to feel good about with the Knoxville Girls Cross Country Squad. The Panthers had a goal of finishing runner-up to champion Pella, however South Tama surprised everybody placing second. While second place was not to be, Coach Mike Moats says the girls still ran a good race. Alissa VanKlootwyk earned all-conference with a third place finish. Knoxville is back in action next Thursday in the class 3A regional.
