Pella native Kyle Korver made his debut with the Chicago Bulls in a big way Tuesday night.

Korver came off the bench to lead all scorers pouring in 22 points on 7-12 shooting including a perfect 7-7 at the free throw line and looked to be in mid season form, however the Bulls dropped their pre season opener 92-83 at Milwaukee.

Korver signed with the Bulls as a free agent during the offseason after spending the last three seasons with the Utah Jazz. Korver led the NBA in three point shooting percentage last season at 54 percent, which also set an all time NBA single season record.

Korver said after the game he is very comfortable with the Bulls offense, noting that they ran about 12 plays just for him, and that allows him to keep moving, coming off screens, which he is most comfortable with. He said he doesn’t want to be a spot up shooter and feels he is a better shooter on the move and can wear down his defenders.

Korver is in his seventh season in the NBA. Korver and the Bulls continue the pre season at Dallas tonight.
