With just a couple of days of preparation for the state Cross Country Meet this week, the Knoxville boys have a game plan in mind. The Panthers have the inside starting spot which Coach Mike Moats says could play big in the first 100 meters of the race. That coupled with the fact there are over 120 runners in the class 3A race. Moats adds the first mile will be key since that usually sorts out the runners who will contend. Knoxville is scheduled to run at 12-30 on Saturday, girl runner Alissa VanKlootwyk is scheduled to run the three-A race at noon.
