Due to gang members wearing their colors in school, Waterloo School District has decided to rewrite its dress code. Knoxville High School Principal Kevin Crawford tells KNIA/KRLS News that they rarely have a problem with kids not obeying the dress code. He says their biggest concerns are fashions that are in style but may not be appropriate in a school setting such as really short shorts. Pella High School Principal Eric Nelson says that their biggest problem is guys wearing sleeveless shirts that expose to much. He says they only have about 15 cases per year and overall is very happy with they way the students respect the dress code.
