Undefeated, second ranked Pella makes their second consecutive long road trip as they head to Keokuk tomorrow night.

Following their win at Mount Pleasant last week, the Little Dutch are the lone undefeated team in Class 3A District 7 and control their own destiny. Keokuk, meanwhile has struggled to a 2-4 overall record and 1-3 in district play. Coach Jay Mckinstrey says coming off a hard fought win over a quality team last week, it’d be easy to overlook Keokuk and come out flat, but he says the coaching staff has stressed all week keeping their focus. He says when you’re trying to win a district title, it’s very important that you play every game like it’s a district championship game regardless of the opponent, and that’s what they’ve been stressing to their players. He also says they need to continue improving every game for the post season.

After tomorrow, the Little Dutch will face two other playoff contenders in their final two games as they host Fairfield next week then close the regular season at Fort Madison. Mckinstrey says they’ll be challenged in the final weeks but it comes at a good time.

You can hear tomorrow’s game with Jamie Brockman and Randy Sikkema live on 92.1 FM KRLS and kniakrls.com with pregame coverage starting at 7pm and kickoff at 7:30pm.
