The Pella High volleyball team is coming off a very successful week which saw them win their fourth straight Newton Invitational, sweep conference opponents Grinnell and Pella Christian and to cap it off they went 5-0 to win the Pella Invitational on Saturday.

The Lady Dutch, ranked fifth in Class 3A, now are that much closer to accomplishing two of their major goals this season.. winning the LHC for the second straight season, and finishing undefeated in both conference matches and games. The can move a step closer to that when they return to LHC action Thursday at Norwalk, then hope to finish it off next Tuesday in their final conference match at Knoxville. In between, Pella will also compete in the Knoxville Invitational on Saturday.

Coach Bob Fessler says their offense has been simply amazing this year and with so many weapons has been very hard to stop, but he says it all starts with back row defense setting up the offense, noting they have three outstanding seniors in the back row including Alexa Azinger, Kenzie VanderMolen and Lindsay Bentzinger. Pella is 28-5 on the season and 5-0 in the LHC.
