Knoxville Fire and Rescue, Knoxville Rural Fire Department, Knoxville Police Officers and Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a single vehicle rollover accident at the 1700 block of highway 14 at approximately 4:15am Friday. A truck driver who saw the accident reports that the vehicle, driven by a 43 year-old Irene Francis Goodrich Lucas County, was traveling southbound on highway 14 when it left the road and entered the west ditch. The witness says the vehicle rolled several times, landing in a yard and narrowly missing a telephone pole. Goodrich told officials on the scene she fell asleep while driving. She complained of head and neck injuries and was transported to Knoxville Hospital and Clinics for evaluation. The accident remains under investigation by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
