The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in special session yesterday afternoon. At the meeting the board approved one work beyond the right-of-way agreement for a slide near Attica and approved contracts for the next phase of disaster relief projects. Two contracts were approved one for seven sites on the north portion of the county and another for six sites on the southern portion. Both contracts were awarded to JB Holland for a total of $251,846, which is $74,303 less than the engineer’s estimate. Marion County Engineer Roger Schletzbaum says the projects should be done by December 1st and these two phases of repairs are the final sites that will get repaired this fall, leaving 20 more to be bid and repaired next year.
