This week is National School Lunch Week and the United States Department of Agriculture was at Jefferson Intermediate School in Pella on Tuesday to talk about the importance of eating right and getting plenty of exercise. Dr. Janey Thornton from the USDA says that it’s very important for kids to get on average of an hour of exercise per day and make sure that they are eating right. Members of the USDA were at Jefferson Intermediate School in Pella from 10-11a and then at Knoxville Middle School from 11:30-1p.
