The Knoxville PD and FD responded to a car fire near the intersection of Highway 14 and Highway 92 at approximately 4:15pm. According to Fire Chief Mike Roberts, the vehicle was northbound when the driver pulled the vehicle over because of engine problems. Shortly thereafter the engine burst into flames. The Knoxville Fire Department extinguished the flames quickly, and traffic was detoured around the scene for approximately 45 minutes. No one was injured in the incident.
