Over the last two months, contractors have been working on replacing the tainter gate lifting cables on the Red Rock Dam. Highway T-15 at the Red Rock Dam will remain closed until the end of November because additional equipment arrived on Tuesday to pump concrete and complete other aspects of the project. The $4.4 Million contract is being paid for by 2008 Flood Recovery funds. The contract was awarded to Kovilic Construction from Chicago.
