For almost one month, work has been taking place on North Main Street in Pella to construct new water mains. Pella Public Works Director Denny Buyert says it’s been a slow process because there is so much utility work that needs to be done. He adds that they expect to continue to work from Jefferson to Elm well into December or until the ground freezes. The project is expected to be completed in the late fall of 2011.
