The sound of bouncing basketballs will likely be heard around area high school gyms starting today as today is the first legal practice day for girls high school basketball teams. The first legal playing date set by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union is November 19th and some of our area team will take afdavatage of that first week of competition. Next Monday the boys teams can start practice with the first legal playing date November 29th.
