Eight boys basketball teams will converge on Knoxville High School Friday evening for the annual Knoxville Turkey Shoot. One difference as in past Turkey Shoots is there are a couple of additions to the menu of basketball squads this season. Twin Cedars and Melcher-Dallas have opted out of the annual boy’s basketball jamboree in favor of a jamboree with schools to their size. In their places are Montezuma, and Knoxville J-V squad. In fact, the J-V Panthers will be the first to play Friday night at six against Lynnville-Sully’s varsity. Pella Christian and Pella will also have two quarters of live basketball with the Eagles taking on Centerville in the second match up and the Little Dutch battling newcomer Montezuma. The nightcap at around 8:15 will match up P-C-M and Knoxville’s varsity and the unofficial debut of new Panther Coach Clint Driftmeyer. Admission will be three dollars per person or bring in a non-perishable food donation and get a dollar off admission.
