It’s a return trip to the Class 3-A State Semifinals for the Pella High School football team, as the Little Dutch defeated Carlisle 24-9 Monday night in Pella. Pella’s opponent in the next round will be Solon – which moved up to Class 3-A this season after winning three straight state titles in Class 2-A. The Spartans were a 19-0 winner over Williamsburg In their quarterfinal game. Meeting in the Semifinals on the other side of the Class 3-A bracket are Sioux City Heelan – which defeated Harlan – and West Delaware – who was a winner Monday night over Decorah . The Pella football team is now 12-0 on the season and will play at 7:30 p.m. Monday night at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls.
