A former GOAL alternative high school teacher and coach has been fined for sexual exploitation by a school employee. After several pretrial conference continuances, Justin Curtis Mikels submitted a written plea of guilty to harassment in the second degree. In addition, he was found guilty of two counts of third degree harassment. Mikels must pay $445 in fines, register as a sex offender and obey a five year no contact order between he and the victims. Mikels was arrested in November of last year for sexual exploitation of female students and had his teaching and coaching contract at GOAL terminated in December after being suspended during the investigation.
