In three days, the Pella High football team will try and do what only one other team has done this fall – beat Solon. The Spartans are 11-1 in 2010, with their only loss coming to Class 2-A juggernaut Iowa City Regina. The Little Dutch, meanwhile, are a sparkling 12-0, and making their third consecutive trip to the Class 3-A State Football Semifinals. The two teams will duke it out at around 7:30 p.m. on Monday night in the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls, for a chance to advance to the State Championship.
The Pella Hy-Vee is sponsoring a bus to take Pella fans to the game, and tickets are available for $6 each at the High School office. The cost to ride the bus is 20-dollars, and includes a seat on the bus and a box lunch, but a ticket to the game must be purchased separately. The bus will load Monday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. and return to Pella promptly following Monday night’s game.
Fans can reserve their seat by calling Pella High School during school hours today, or by calling the Pella Hy-Vee this weekend. Reservations must be made by 8:00 a.m. Monday morning.
