As KNIA/KRLS recently reported, the Pella Police Department made two new hires. Ben Hektoen is from the Fairfield area and Joshua Boone is from Sioux Center. Both Hektoen and Boone say that they have enjoyed their time so far in Pella and are anxious to be out on their own. Currently, the two are riding along with Pella Police officers to learn the job. They expect to complete the training program and the academy by April 1, 2011.
