The Knoxville Rural Fire Department, Knoxville Fire and Rescue, and Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover and fire north of the Mile Long Bridge on Highway 14 around 7:45pm last night.

A red Dodge pickup driven by Jason Cloud Dunn of Knoxville was traveling southbound when Dunn lost control and entered the east ditch just north of the Mile Long Bridge. The truck lost its topper, rolled further into the ditch coming to rest on its top and at some point became fully engulfed in flames.

When first responders arrived at the scene, Dunn was not in or near the truck. Fire fighters and sheriff’s deputies scoured the area around the accident in attempt to locate him and Mercy One also responded to the scene to assist in the search as well. Dunn was later reported to be at a residence and requested medical attention. He was transported to Knoxville Hospital and Clinics for treatment.

The accident remains under investigation by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and charges are pending.
