The FBI, Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Melcher-Dallas Police Department are investigating a pair of ATM break-ins in Melcher-Dallas last night. According to Sheriff Ron Goemaat, two local businesses, Mason’s Auto and D n S Grocery, were broken into around 3:20am today. The suspects took out the security cameras and proceeded to break into the ATMs stealing an unknown amount of money. Stu Job, President of Iowa State Savings Bank who owns the ATM in D n S Grocery, says to his knowledge this is the first time in the more than 100 year history of the bank that it has been robbed.
