Cold shooting hurt the Central College women’s basketball team for the second straight day in St. Louis, as the Dutch were defeated 75-69 by Webster University on Saturday.

Despite converting on just 36 percent of their shots, Central led by as many as 11 points in the first half and had a brief lead early in the second half as well, but too many missed opportunities cost the Dutch down the stretch, and they never got any closer than within five points of the Gorloks.

AJ Baker had 15 points and five rebounds, while Kelsey Schuring had 13 points and six boards.  Haley Brillhart had a team-best seven rebounds.

The Dutch take next week off for final fall semester exams, then close their pre-Christmas slate with a non-conference contest against Grand View University next Saturday in Pella.
