For the second straight season, Marion County has again dominated the upper half of the Little Hawkeye Conference basketball standings. Just three games into the season for most of the teams and Pella is a co-leader along with South Tama at 3-0 in the girls’ race. Pella Christian is second at 2-0. Knoxville is in a three-way tie for sixth at 0-3. Between the Eagles and Panthers lies Norwalk in fourth, and Oskaloosa in fifth. On the boys side, Norwalk is the conference leader at 2-0 and already owning a win over Pella. Grinnell and the Little Dutch are tied for second with two-and-one records. Pella Christian and Oskaloosa are in a fourth place tie at 1-1. Knoxville is sixth at 1-2, followed by Newton in seventh and South Tama in eight. Everybody in the conference gets back to action Tuesday.
