The 2010-2011 public school enrollment numbers have been released and one Marion County School District is tied for the second largest percent decrease in the past five years. This year there is a total of 301 students enrolled in the Melcher-Dallas school district, down from 400 in the 2006-2007 school year, equal to a 25% decrease. All other schools in the county had a change of two percent or less from the 2009-2010 school year.

Overall in the state official certified enrollment is down 734 students, or 15 one-hundredths of a percentage from last year’s total.
