With the season-opener behind them, the Pella Christian boys basketball team has returned to practice this week aiming to strengthen some of the weak areas of their game that were exposed against West Marshall on Monday. Eagles’ Head Coach Larry Hessing says while there are several things he thinks the team needs to get better at, one of the main areas of emphasis has working the ball around on the offensive end.

“What we need to work on is kind of a long list. We just need to kind of clean things up – I thought [Monday] was just so sloppy, and we were really impatient on offense,” said Hessing. “One of our main points of emphasis was to be a little more patient on offense, reverse the basketball, and try to get it inside.”

The Pella Christian boys will have another challenging early season contest this weekend, when they host Washington on Saturday.
