The Scholte House Museum closes for the season on December 31st, but plenty of new things are expected when it reopens in March. Visitors who have trouble climbing stairs will now be able to view a video presentation of the 2nd floor of the house, the committee is working on recreating the dining room to match a photo on display from the early 1900’s and plans are being discussed for an exhibit featuring Dominie Scholte’s daughters from his first marriage who came with him from the Netherlands in 1847. Visitors are still encouraged to tour the Scholte House by appointment by calling Beverly Graves at 628-3684.
