The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular session yesterday. Following the third reading of an ordinance amending the Marion County subdivision regulations the board gave the ordinance a final approval, the supervisors also approved a resolution establishing certain fees to be charged for the division of land, subdivisions, rezoning of land and issuance of building permits. Zoning Administrator Melissa Poffenbarger says those who do not comply with this or any ordinance are subject to a possible fine of $750.

At the meeting the board also approved a resolution authorizing sheriff to charge for the cancellation of a sheriff’s sale in an amount equal to what is set for holding a sale by the Code of Iowa and approved the establishment of a Human Resource Coordinator position for Marion County which will be created within the auditor’s office.
