The Twin Cedars girls basketball team is led by a very talented group. The scariest thing about this group for the rest of the Bluegrass conference is that they are almost all freshman and sophomores. Coach Justin Nolte can see that he has a bevy of young talent on hand with this squad. The Lady Sabers are 4-5 entering the holiday break but the potential that this group possesses is limitless. The talent may be raw but with hard nosed defense and a fast break style offense they have proved that they can win now as well. The Lady Sabers are led by Alee Hugen (Hugh-ghen), the talented sophomore is averaging 17 points per contest. Ayla Crosby is also coming on from her guard spot averaging just under nine per game. The Lady Sabers are surrendering just 45 points per game. Coach Nolte and the Twin Cedars girls open up the second half of their season against Moravia at home on January 4th.
