Work is scheduled to begin on the underwater lights at the Pella Aquatic Center’s Outdoor Pool on Monday. According to Pella Administrative Services Director Jenny Hesseltine, M&M Enterprises out of Sigourney, Iowa has been moving equipment to the site and getting prepared since last week. Hesseltine says that it’s hard to plan for an Iowa winter, but the city decided it would be best to begin as soon as possible if the contractor was comfortable with a winter schedule. The $744,000 project is scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2011.
