With a winter storm expected this weekend in Marion County, It’s important to remember to take your time before traveling during the Christmas weekend. Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada says his best advice is to just slow down. He says you will want to make sure there is plenty of time allotted for the trip, to give yourself enough time in case of bad weather. Pella Police Lieutenant John Van Haaften says that with holiday parties taking place, plan on finding a way home ahead of time if your going to be drinking. Van Haaften adds that winter weather impairs drivers enough as it is and there is no reason to be under the influence behind the wheel.
