The search for Knoxville’s new City Manager will likely come to an end this weekend. The five remaining candidates will be in Knoxville Friday and Saturday to meet with the City Council, department heads, staff, mayor and community members. The two day process includes a tour of Knoxville and city facilities, interviews with council and staff and a community leader reception. After the second round of interviews on Saturday the council will select the candidate they want for the position and approve a contract.
Current City Manager Dick Schrad plans to work with the council through the development of the fiscal year 2011-2012 budget and the new City Manager is tentatively scheduled to take over on April 4th.
