The new ice rink at Young’s Park in Knoxville officially opened to the public last night. The Knoxville Chamber Ambassadors did a ribbon cutting to commemorate the event and the latest recreational addition to Knoxville. The Junior Chamber of Commerce has a concession stand set up with hot dogs and hot chocolate for sale with proceeds going to help support future events. There are also picnic tables and warming barrels near the rink as well to help skaters take a break and warm up. The ice rink is open to the public during daylight hours and there will be adult supervised skating each weekend from 6-10pm with concessions available.
