This year’s legislative session will likely have a large impact on our local school districts. Knoxville Schools Superintendent Dr. Randy Flack says he feels there are three huge issues that will be discussed during the 84th Iowa General Assembly. Primarily funding for schools, along with the future of the free four year-old preschool program and possible changed to the Iowa Core Curriculum. Dr. Flack encourages parents to contact local legislators Senator Paul McKinley and Representative Jim Van Engelenhoven to express how important they feel these issues are for our young people.
