Senator Paul McKinley says he feels it’s important to find out what the Knoxville community thinks before the Iowa Senate approves a resolution in regards to the local VA campus. As previously reported on KNIA/KRLS the state house unanimously passed a resolution recently in support of a veterans national recovery center at the Knoxville VA campus. McKinley says several individuals have expressed their concern about the resolution and said they knew nothing about it until it was passed in the house. He says the legislature should not be passing resolutions without local people being involved in it. Instead he feels they should slow down and let the local people make the decision if this is something they support or not and move forward from there.
