The neighborhood watch program in Knoxville is doing exactly what it was established to do, help catch those who vandalize or damage Auld Park. Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada tells KNIA/KRLS news a neighbor called in to report that they saw the suspects kicking the door of the park building and breaking into it. Officers were on the scene shortly after and were able to catch three individuals who were still inside the building. Three suspects were charged with criminal trespass and one of them also faces criminal mischief charges. Losada says he’s unsure if these are the same people who have damaged the park in the past but it’s great to see the neighborhood watch program is working.
