Marion County Attorney Ed Bull has hired a new Assistant County Attorney. Nicole Olson, of West Des Moines, will be in charge of handling domestic abuse, operating while intoxicated and district associate court drug cases in the area. Bull says he believes the hiring of Olson will facilitate his office’s desire to make Marion County the safest of all counties in Iowa and he is confident that she will serve the people the people well.

Olson is a Humboldt, Iowa native who earned degrees from the University of Iowa in 2005 and Drake Law School in 2009. She is a member of the American and Iowa Bar Associations and prior to being hired by the Marion County Attorney’s office she worked as an intern for the Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault and the Polk County Attorney’s Office.
